Naxals kidnap 10 tourists
Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 30 (UNI) Naxals today kidnapped ten of the 234 tourists from two mechanised boats on river Krishna.
A wedding party boarded the boats to visit the Nagarjuna hill in the Guntur-Nalgonda district when the naxals intercepted them.
As the vessels reached the island, the armed naxals detained the ten passengers and ordered the pilots to steer the boats towards Srisailam project.
An advocate, among the passengers, managed to inform the police after landing on the island.
Nine maoists were killed in the dense Seshachalam forest in Cuddapah district last friday.
