Mahajan's son seeks divine blessings
Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) Rahul, son of grievously wounded BJP leader Pramod Mahajan battling for life in a city hospital for the past nine days, today visited the famous Mount Marry Church in suburban Bandra where a Special Mass was held for the recovery of his father.
Accompanied by Mr Mahajan's personal assistant Vivek Mitra, the only son of the 56-year-old BJP general secretary lit a candle and prayed for a speedy recovery of his father.
Mr Mahajan has undergone three surgeries in the Hinduja Hospital here since April 22 when he was shot point-blank, allegedly by his younger brother Pravin, 45.
Earlier, Rahul accompanied by his married sister had paid obeisance at the city's most famous Hindu shrine Sidhivinayak, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. He had also prayed for the well-being of his father at Haji Ali, another famous religious landmark in the city.
The minority cell of the BJP had organised special prayer meetings in the city's mosques last week.
The Punjab unit of BJP had also held a special '' Akhand Path '' (non-stop recitation of the Sikh holy book Granth Sahib) at Amritsar's Golden Temple last week.
