LOk Adalats settle 340 cases

Chandigarh, Apr 30 (UNI) For settling maximum cases through the medium of Lok Adalats at pre-litigative stage as well as pending in the Courts, Lok Adalats were held at Jhajjar, Rewari, Bhiwani, Siwani and Loharu.

In these Lok Adalats 340 out of 828 cases were settled. Out of these 35 cases pertained to death/injury arising out of vehicular accidents.

These were settled with a total copmpensation of Rs 65,35,500 given to the victims.

At the same time 305 cases pertaining to other categories like Civil, Petty Criminal, Bank Loan cases at pre-litigative stage as well as pending were also settled.

The Lok Adalats would also be held at Narnaul, Kaithal, Jagadhri and Mohindergarh on May six.
