Heat wave prevails in Rjasthan, AP, Tamil Nadu, Haryana

Pune, Apr 30 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in north Rajasthan, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, north coastal Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Haryana and Punjab.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Chattisgarh and of Telangana and in remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan and were above normal in south Tamil Nadu.

They were below normal in some parts of interior Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh and Kutch.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jharkhand and at isolated places in Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
