Haryana CS Mrs Chaudhry retires

Chandigarh, Apr 30 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary Mrs Meenaxi Anand Chaudhry today retired after putting in 37 years of service in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Mrs Chaudhry a IAS officer of the Haryana cadre belonged to the 1969 batch.

She was appointed the Chief Secretary in October last year.

During her tenure she held a number of important postings both at the Centre and in the state.She was the first woman Chief Secretary of Haryana.

The new Chief Secretary is likely to be appointed tomorrow.
