Four naxals killed in encounter

Nalgonda, Adhra Pradesh, Apr 30 (UNI) Four naxals, including a woman ultra of CPI (Maoist) party, who hijacked two boats and blasted them at Srisailam dam, were killed in an enounter near Maddimadugu village in this district today.

Police said a special police party conducting combing operations at Srisailam area identified the naxals who had blasted the two boats which were hijacked at Nagarjuna sagar in Guntur district this morning.

Immediately after the boat blasts, the naxals had opened fire on police when they were proceeding towards the naxals. In retaliation, police opened fire and killed the four naxals on the spot.

Special guerilla Commander Boda Saidaiah was one among the four naxals killed. One SLR and three 303 rifles were recovered from the spot.
