CRPF personnel arrive for poll duty
Chennai, Apr 30 (UNI) A special train carrying about 2000 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel arrived here today from Howrah, to undertake 'bandobust' duty along with the local police during the May eight assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
Official sources said, after a brief halt at Egmore railway station, the special train left for Thanjavur. From Thanjavur the CRPF personnel would be deployed at various places of Tamil Nadu, the sources added.
The sources said, two more special train carrying the CRPF personnel were expected to reach the city late tonight and early tomorrow.
