Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) A delegation of All India Christian Council (AICC) submitted a memorandum to Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy urging him to take action against the producer, director and photographer of the film ''Tickle My Funny Bone,'' to be released next month.

AICC general secretary Dr Abraham Mathai, who led the delegation, said yesterday that the film ''Tickle My Funny Bone'' has agitated the minds of the Christian community and the posters and advertisements are highly objectionable raising objections by the Church and various Christian organisations.

The memorandum said that in the case of this movie, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has stated in a report, published in a leading English daily yesterday, that the producer, director and those responsible for the movie had put out publicity material of scenes that were not in the film.

In view of this, the delegation urged the Commissioner to file a criminal case under section 295A of the IPC for hurting the religious sentiments of the Christian community. They said that arrest of those responsible would be in public interest thereby sending a message that such cheap films aimed at minting money will not be tolerated in a secular state.

Christian organisations are making outcry over the release of advertisement materials of this film in leading dailies which is +showing a vulgarly dressed nun with the church in the background+ which, according to them, are derogatory to the community and their faith.
