AP govt to send chopper to rescue team of media and officials

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government would be sending a helicopter to rescue the media persons and officials who were missing in the thick forests in Seshachala hills in Sundupalle on the border of Kadapa and Chittor districts.

Nine naxals including six women were killed in an encounter in the forests yesterday.

Police said the media persons and Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) of Sundupalle Srinivas were missing since last night who were proceeding towards the encounter area.

A team of police was searching the forests to rescue the missing persons.

Meanwhile, the Chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had directed the offcials to send a helicopter for rescuing the missing persons in the forests.
