15 people die, 19 injured in separate road accidents

Ranchi, Apr 30 (UNI) At least 15 people, including a Bihar state food corporation assistant General Manager were killed and 19 others were critically injured in three road accidents in Jharkhand today, police said.

A report from Shabganj said seven people died on the spot and 13 were injured, two of them critically, when the truck in which they were travelling overturned at Shahebanj Ghati. All the injured were admitted to the hospital, police informed.

A report from Dumka said four people including a Bihar state food corporation and the driver died when their vehicle collided head on with a dumper loaded with stone.

The driver died in the hospital, police said.

They were posted at Giridih and were proceeding from Dumaka to Tarapith in West Bengal. The deceased were identified as Rajender Prasad, AGM, Manoj Tewari, Ravinder Kumar Mishra (both employees of the corporation) and the driver, Kishore Mahto.

Another report from Lohardaga said four people died on the spot and six others were injured, when three trucks collided at Kongdra in the district. Three of the four deceased were identified, police said.
