With the stars in place, marriages galore

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Thousands of marriages are scheduled for tomorrow as it is an auspicious day with all the stars in the right place! The state is abuzz with marriage activities, with more than one house having a ceremony in every village. The day is Vaisakha Sudha Tadiya, the most auspicious day for performing a wedding. In addition, it is Brahma Muhurtam during the early hours. This is the muhurat in which divine spirits like Lord Rama and Krishna got married.

According to a modest estimate, about one lakh marriages would be performed tomorrow. All the marriage pandals, band troupes, vehicles and other paraphernalia are booked to the hilt for tomorrow.

According to information, in West Godavari district alone, 8,000 marriages would take place tomorrow. In Anantapur district about 4,000 marriages were scheduled. Raya Durgam MLA Mettu Govinda Reddy is performing 200 marriages along with the marriage of his son.

It is also 'Akshaya Thrithiya' tomorrow, an auspicious day to buy gold and to wear gold too.
