Three IT parks to create 1.35 lakh jobs

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Mohd Ali Shabbir today said the State Cabinet has decided to allot 250 acres each to Stargaze (Raheja Group), Indu Products and Brahmani Infotech for developing Integrated Information Technology Special Economic Zones near Hardware Park at Mamidipalli, Kancha Imarat villages in Ranga Reddy district.

Briefing newsmen about the decision of the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Shabbir said The three IT SEZs would generate 1.35 lakh jobs.

The Andhra Pradesh government is aimed at achieving Rs 69,000 crore in IT exports and sought to create employment for 3 lakh persons directly, by 2009.

Every job created in IT will indirectly create 4 jobs, he said.

The Minister said the council of Ministers at the Cabinet meeting today approved allotment of 150 acres of land in the first phase near the new International Airport at Mamidipalli village and Kancha Imarat village, Maheswaram Mandal, Ranga Reddy district to Infosys Technologies Limited where it would set up its largest campus in Andhra Pradesh.
