Pentair launches Home Water purifiers in South

Visakhapatnam, Apr 29: Pentair Inc, world leaders in water technology and enclosures, today launched its Home Water purifiers, using reverse Osmosis technology in this port city, thus making a major foray into the South Indian market.

After being successful in manufacturing and selling water treatment components, Pentair Water India (PWI), the Indian arm three billion Dollar US based company, had been successful with its home water purifiers in north India after its launch two years ago, Head (Sales) of PWI Lokapriya Jena told newspersons here today.

He said the reverse osmosis system offered the best-in-class technology with features more advanced than the existing water purification systems. The three models were released today with the price ranging from Rs 10999 to Rs 16999.

Mr Jena said Pentair's current focus is on providing world class home water purifying systems for customers, who would not compromise on quality of water.

He said the systems are ideally suited for purifying bore-well and salty water, using special membranes under high pressure to remove suspended, dissolved, bacterial and chemical impurities up to 0.0001 micron from water. They can also solve the fluoride problem, which was prevalent in waters in this part of the country, he added.

He said tests had indicated that drinking water supplied in Visakhapatnam city contained higher than desirable limit of nitrate, lead and cadmium.
