Peaceful polling in Kerala assembly elections
New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Nearly 70 per cent polling was reported during second phase of assembly elections in Kerala, the Election Commission said today.
The poll process remained peaceful and no incident of poll rigging or violence was reported, said deputy election commissioner R.
Bhattacharya.
A total of 437 candidates -- 400 men and 37 women -- were in the race for 66 constituencies. Polling was spread over 10,243 stations.
The third phase of polling will be held on May 3 and were cover 15 sensitive constituencies.
