Last league matches of Sheeshmahal tourney washed out

Lucknow, Apr 29 (UNI) The last two league matches of 'Sahara City Homes' Sheeshmahal Cricket Tournament could not be played here today owing to overnight showers, which rendered the venues unplayable.

The Group B matches between holders Indian Airlines and star studded Sahara India and Mini Mount Club and Uttar Pradesh Police Sports Control Board (UPPSCB) at the K D Singh Babu Stadium and Chowk Stadium were cancelled after umpires decided that overnight rains had rendered the venues unplayable.

Two points each were given to the four teams, out of which both Sahara and IA have already qualified for the semi-finals to be played tomorrow and May One next.

The first semi-final will be played tomorrow between Airlines and Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association, while Sahara India take on Rizvi Builders, Mumbai in the other last four clash on May One.

The summit clash will be played at the K D Singh Babu Stadium on May Two.
