Jaipur to have world-class shooting range

Jaipur, Apr 29 (UNI) Jaipur will soon have a world-class shooting range as the Centre has cleared the proposal.

Around 0.9779 hectares of forestland in the city's Jagatpura would be coverted into a shooting and archery range. An equestrian centre and an Arena Polo facility is also likely to come up in the area.

The Rs 20 crore Jagatpura shooting range was first proposed by the state government in December 2005 and the Centre has given the nod now.

The shooting area will include the Big Bore range, a trap and skit 10-metre range apart from health centres, yoga centre, a clubhouse, gymnasium and and an administrative block.

The 2007 National shooting Championship and National Masters Tournament are expected to be organised at the new range.
