Eight killed, six injured in van-lorry collision

Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu Apr 29 (UNI) Eight persons, including four women, were killed and six others injured when a van carrying them collided with a lorry between Thirumalanchi and Vagaikulam near Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district today.

Police said the accident occurred when the van was proceeding to Nagercoil from Tirunelveli and the lorry was coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased were yet to be identified.

The injured were admitted to different hospitals in and around Nanguneri, police added.
