Deranged man kills 3; police guns him down

Bangalore, Apr 29 (UNI) Police shot dead a mentally retarded man after he ran amok and hacked to death three people near Sirwar village in Raichur district of Karnataka today.

Police said the man hacked to death three villagers with a sickle around 1130 hrs following which the villagers lodged a complaint with the police.

A police team, led by the Sirwar police inspector, rushed to the village. They were forced to gun him down as he started attacking them, the sources added.
