Chancellor,VC of Gurukul Kangari summoned in funds bungling case
Hardwar-Apr, 29 (UNI) The first additional civil judge of Hardwar, Sanjeev Kumar has summoned the chancellor of the Gurukul Kangari University, Sudarshan Sharma and the Vice Chancellor, Prof Swatantra Kumar to the court on May 26 in case of misappropriation of funds.
The notices were issued to the chancellor, the vice chancellor and an Arya Samaj office bearer after the court found a prima-facie case against the accused under section 403 of the IPC for misappropriation of Rs 18 lakhs for their personal interest from the Punjab National Bank account of THE Gurukul Kangari.
The case was filed in the court on October 27, 2005 by Dr Deena Nath, the Headmaster of the Gurukul Vidyalaya which is an affiliate of the Gurukul Kangari University.
On being contacted, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Swatantra Kumar, while denying the charges said, ''We have full faith in the judiciary and shall present our case before the judge on May 26.'' UNI XC JN ND1808
