Cabinet expresses gratitude to voters

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today expressed gratitude to the voters of Visakhapatnam I constituency for the resounding victory they gave to the Congress candidate D Srinivas in the by-election.

Briefing newsmen after the cabinet meeting here, Minister for Information and Public Relations Mr Mohd Ali Shabbir said the cabinet noted with satisfaction that the Congress candidate Srinivas got a better percentage of votes than his father D Satyanarayana, whose death caused the bypoll.

He said the cabinet felt that the victory was an approval of the policies being pursued by the Congress party during the last two years of its rule.
