Banswara Syntex to export lycra based women-wear to US

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Rajasthan based Banswara Syntex Ltd has bagged orders worth USD 287 million for export of lycra based high-end women-wear to the US.

Talking to UNI, company's joint managing director Ravi Toshniwal said, ''Banswara Syntex would be exporting these fabrics at USD 4-4.5 per meter, which is double the rate of normal fabrics exported,'' adding, ''currently we are targeting the high-end career women-wear segment of US and later we may plan to sell these products in the Indian market too.'' Recently, Banswara Syntex had entered into a joint venture with a French company Carreman Michel Thierry for the production of Lycra based fabrics. The JV has helped Banswara in bagging the current order, Mr Toshniwal added.
