Bank employee convicted
Patna, Apr 29 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Ramanand Sharma today convicted a former special assistant of a nationalised bank, Bhagwan Singh in a case of cheating, forgery and corruption.
Mr Sharma found the accused guilty under various sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act. The judge fixed May 2 next as the date for hearing on the point of sentence.
According to the charges, the convict withdrew Rs 1.40 lakh by forging the signature of a customer of the bank from his current account while he was posted in Siwan branch of Canara Bank in 1991.
