Another farmer commits suicide in Punjab
Bathinda, Apr 29 (UNI) A 65-year-old farmer, Niranjan Singh, who was in heavy debt, committed suicide by consuming sulphos tablets in Burj Kahansingh Wala village in the district today.
According to police, a suicide note recovered from the deceased stated that he had been under a heavy debt of Rs 4.8 lakh.
He had taken loan from different sources including commission agents and a cooperative bank.
''I am committing suicide due to my inability to pay back the heavy amount of loan,'' the note said.
