AICC issues show cause notice to Congress MP

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) AICC has issued a show cause notice to party MP Lagadapati Raja Gopal seeking an explanation for his alleged remarks against the Congress government in a TV interview.

Some party leaders have complained to AICC about the remarks made by the MP expressing dissatisfaction over non-transfer of powers to local bodies and the functioning of officials in the Congress regime in the interview. They also reportedly sent newspaper clippings of some of his statements against the government.

Responding to the complaints, the AICC has directed Raja Gopal to explain the position immediately.

The PCC President Dr K Keshava Rao cautioned party functionaries against making negative remarks on the functioning of the government in public.

He warned that those making such comments would be severely dealt with.
