Mulayam vows transforming UP if SP wins two-third majority
Lucknow, Apr 28 (UNI) Claiming that development of the country was only due to farmers, traders and minorities, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said that the state would be transformed if the Samajwadi Party got two-third majority in the 2007 assembly polls.
Announcing that the Tehbazari system would be abolished very soon in the state, the CM addressing a traders rally here, said compounding system for the cable operators would be enforced in the state on monthly basis.
The state government had already announced to abolish Tehbazari in the state during the budget while the cable operators were demanding compounding fee on their operation.
He said that 90 per cent development of the country had taken place following efforts by farmers, traders and minorities.
''If the traders support me in the coming assembly polls, then no one can stop the SP from getting two-third majority which will automatically change the scenario of the country and the state,'' he claimed.
Criticising the Centre for failing on the foreign policy front, Mr Yadav said it was unfortunate that other countries have gone far ahead of us.
