Visakha Steel Plant selected for best industrial award

Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) today announced awards for 19 industries which have performed during 2004-05.

Addressing the press here, FAPCCI President C V Atchut Rao said Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited (Visakha Steel Plant) was selected for the best industrial productivity award, while Andhra Pradesh State Finance Corporation (APSFC) was nominated for best all round performance.

Stating that the FAPPCI has received 93 entries for awards during this year, he said best worker's welfare activity award went to Kesoram Cements, best technology development in R and D award to Premier Explosive Limited, best export performance award to Vijay Electricals and Pratista Industries was selected for best new product innovation award.

Mr Rao said the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would present awards to the winners tomorrow.
