TCIL MD, 4 injured in air mishap
Jamshedpur, Apr 27: Two top officials of Tata house and three other employees had a narrow escape when a six-seater Tata Steel aircraft crash landed at Sonari airport in the steel city here last night.
According to airport sources Managing director of Tinplate Company of India Limited B L Raina and Tata Steel vice president (Flat Products) A Sen and three others escaped narrowly when the aircraft during landing caught in a storm and skidded off the tarmac.
They survived with minor injuries.
Mr Raina and Mr Sen and three others were rushed to Tata Main Hospital(TMH) from Mr Raina was shifted to Tinplate hospital.
He was later released after medical check up.
Mr Sen and three others were admitted to TMH, the sources said.
Mr Raina and Mr Sen went to Mumbai to attend the annual board meeting of the company.
They were returning via Kolkata, the company sources said.
