SkodaAuto India launches 'Octavia Classic' at Rs 11.45 lakh

Mumbai, Apr 27 (UNI) SkodaAuto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, today launched the 'Octavia Classic 1.9 TDi -- their latest offering in style and luxury car segment -- priced at Rs 11,45,521 (Ex-showroom, Thane).

Speaking on the occasion, SkodaAuto India Managing Director Lukas Fole said, ''The Octavia Classic is a limited edition of the Octavia line-up and another step in our efforts to continuously innovate upon the popular SkodaOctavia.'' The Classic has a fuel-efficient 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine.

While the earlier variants of Skoda Octavia have already created a niche for themselves in the Indian market, with this 'Classic' it (company) expands the portfolio of Octavia even further, said a company press release.

Mr Fole claims that his company has emerged as the largest European carmaker in the country with a market share of over 25 per cent in the luxury segment.
