Maoists kill villager branding him police informer

Vizianagaram, Apr 27 (UNI) Suspected Maoists killed a 26-year-old villager, branding him a police informer, in Neelakantapuram Mandal of this district.

The body of B Rama Rao was found in a bush between Valasaballeru and Lankajodu villages today.

Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh Mann condemned the act, saying they had killed an innocent person. District police had booked a case against the victim in 2002 for an offence. 'When the person was facing police action, how can he be an informer?, he asked.
