LS Secy Gen Lauds role of Christians in education

New Delhi,Apr 27 (UNI) Lok Sabha Secretary General P D T Achary today lauded the role of Christian institutions in education and said these have made impressive contributions to the society.

Discipline, high academic standard, character formation and overall development of students are the hallmark of these institutions, he said while speaking as the chief guest at the annual convocation of the Institute for Media Studies and Information Technology(IMSIT) here.

IMSIT Chairman George Varghese, New Delhi YMCA General Secretary Joy Benjamin, IMSIT Director Samuel Baid and YMCA Associate General Secretary Bertram Devdas also spoke.

Mr Achary presented post, graduate diplomas to toppers in print and electronic journalism, advertising, public relations and computer applications.
