Eight including seven of family die in road mishap

Bhavnagar (Gujarat), Apr 27 (UNI) Eight people, including seven members of a family, were killed when their jeep collided with a speeding truck on the Bhavngar-Rajkot highway near Jasha village, about 70 km from here, this morning.

According to the police, the accident occurred when the jeep was going from Agiyali village near here to Kutch region.

Five other occupants of the jeep, including a wo-and-half-year-old child, sustained serious injuries and have been admitted at the Sir Takhtsinh hospital here.

Meanwhile, truck driver Dharmendrasinh Juvansinh Gohil fled from the scene after the accident.

Police have registered a case against him and have launched a search.
