Court allows Dawood's brother to attend nephew's funeral

Mumbai, Apr 27 (UNI) The MCOCA court today granted permission to Pakistan-based underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Hassan Ibrahim Kaskar to attend the funeral of his newphew Danish Parkar, killed in a road accident this morning.

Ibrahim Kaskar, who is in judicial custody and facing trial in the case of unauthorised construction of twin shopping complex - Sara and Sahara - at Crawford Market in South Mumbai, today moved an application before Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) Judge Ashok Bhangale requesting him to be granted permission to attend the funeral of his newphew.

Later, the judge granted him permission to attend the funeral.

Danish Parkar (23), the son of Dawood's elder sister Haseena Parkar, Imran Kalia, son of Dawood's late accomplice Hanif Motiwala and one Saju Miya of Ajmer were killed and two others wounded in a road accident near Mangav taluka in the neighbouring Raigarh district in the early hours today, while they were returning to the city from Goa.
