Aston Martin luxury sports car in India in 2 yrs

New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Aston Martin, UK's leading luxury sports car is likely to roll out on Indian roads in the next two years, enhancing the growing variety of swanky models.

Aston Martin, on the Indian roads, is estimated to cost around Rs 80 lakh to about Rs 2 crore depending on the variants.

This luxury sports car is manufactured in Gaydon, United Kingdom, which currently produces only 5,000 cars a year and production for the next two years is already sold out, said Mr Thomas Kastgen, CEO of Middle East Aston Martin, while launching his 'Leading Brands of the World', the only professional entity in the fast growing Indian luxury market, here today.

''If the company enhances its production capacity, then Aston Martin could enter this country earlier also,'' he said and added that ''there is potential for sale of about 20 to 30 cars in a year in India.'' In his capacity as CEO of Middle East Aston Martin, Mr Kastgen has spent the last year analysing the Indian luxury automobile market and is responsible for creating India's first white paper on luxury automobile trading.

Mr Kastgen is also responsible for strengthening the market positioning of Aston Martin as one of the leading luxury sports car brands in the Middle East.
