4-year-old boy dies of hunger, fear in forest area
Bellary. Apr 27 (UNI) The body of a four-year-old boy was found in a decomposed state in the forest area near Rayaral village in Hagaribommahalli taluk in this district of Karnataka, five days after he went missing.
Police said on April 22, Kumardarshan's parents Bheemanayak and Pyari Bai had left for the hospital at Hagaribommanahalli as the latter was unwell. Though he had wanted to accompany his parents, they had left him behind and boarded an auto to the hospital.
However, Kumardarshan had run behind the auto hoping that his parents would stop the vehicle. But they did not notice him and proceeded to the hospital.
Unable to find his way back home, Kumardarshan strayed into the forests, eight km from the village, and kept wandering there for three days and died on April 24.
On a complaint lodged by his parents, the police launched search operations and found Kumaradarshan's body in the forest yesterday.
Post-mortem report revealed that the boy had died of hunger and fear. Scratch marks and heat boils were also found on his body.
