3 injured in dacoity attack, property worth Rs 1.3 lakh looted
Sangli, Maharashtra, Apr 27 (UNI) Three members of a family were injured when a gang of five dacoits entered their residence and attacked them with sharp weapons before fleeing with a booty of Rs 1.3 lakh.
The dacoits entered the victim's bunglow at Shamraonagar, from behind and attacked the family members comprising of Allaudin Mujawar (63), his wife Zeenit (55) and mother Shahajuddinibi (76) before looting cash and gold ornaments from them, police sources said.
All the three have been admitted to government-run Vasantdada hospital.
However, the police managed to nab one member of the gang who has been identified as 25-year-old Udavyappa Bagadi hailing from Chikodi tehsil in Karnataka state, police said, adding that they are on the lookout for the remaining dacoits.
