Student, who jumped from school building, dies at hospital

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The 17-year-old student of Father Agnel Public School, who reportedly jumped from her school building, today died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Dimpy Mitra, studying in Class XII, died this morning as she had sustained serious injuries, according to hospital sources.

She had jumped from the third floor of Father Agnel Public School, Yusuf Sarai, at about 1230 hrs after she was allegedly reprimanded by her teacher.

She had been advised counselling as she had bunked classes on March 27, according to school sources.

Meanwhile, mother of the deceased while denying that Dimpy had any bouts of depression, alleged that she was harassed at school.

The parents of Dimpy, who lived with her mother at Kotla Mubarakpur in South Delhi, had been living separately for the last six years.
