Pak to hold fielding camp in Abbottabad
Lahore, Apr 26 (UNI) After roping in Jonty Rhodes as their fielding coach, albeit for a fortnight, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected the newly built Abbottabad cricket stadium as the venue for the coaching camp for the forthcoming tour of England.
PCB's Regional Development Manager Col. (retd) Naushad Ali reportedly inspected the ground yesterday and inquired about the facilities and climatic conditions at the ground for the camp to be organised in June.
Earlier, Rhodes responded to an invitation from his former coach Bob Woolmer, now in charge of Pakistan and agreed for a two-week stint with the team before their tour of England.
''I have been invited by Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer. I would be going for two weeks before the Pakistan team's tour to England, mainly to help them improve their fielding,'' Rhodes had said.
