P C Pandey appointed as DGP

Ahmedabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Mr P C Pandey, IPS officer of 1970 batch from Gujarat cadre, has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP) and Chief Police Officer of Gujarat.

Mr Pandey will take charge after the present incumbent Mr A K Bhargav retires on Arpil 30, said an official release here today.

However, Mr Pandey, will continue to hold his present additional charge of DGP and Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), till the next imcumbment is appointed.

Among other postings, Mr Pandey was Commisioner of Police (CP) for Ahmedabad, besides a stint at the Centre too, In another senior level reshuffle, Mr J Mahapatra, Director General of Police (Intelligence) at Gandhinagar, will also hold the additional charge of Managing Director of Police Housing Corporation.
