KPCC Chief attacks Marxists on communal links
Kochi, Apr 26 (UNI) Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala today accused rival Marxists of taking the help of communal powers at the risk of eroding their secular identity.
Addressing a press conference here, he claimed that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) had taken the support of communal forces, whom they kept at bay for long, only for electoral gains.
Describing the Marxist approach to development in West Bengal and Kerala as contrasting, he claimed that Kerala had become the goldmine for the youth of Bengal.
By opposing Smart City, they had challenged aspirations of unemployed youth in Kerala. Once they had rolled out the red carpet to multinational giants like Pepsi and Coca Cola, but they were now waging a battle against them. The CPI(M) was a multicrore corporate house now with over Rs 4600 crore worth investments from five-star hospitals to water theme parks, Mr Chennithala said.
Exuding confidence on a good performance by the Congress-led Government, he said the people would decide whether corruption and favouritism should return to power and administration be shifted to CPI(M) headquarters from the Secretariat.
The KPCC chief, who promised more investments for IT, said the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) and the United Democratic Front would work unitedly, extending the present understanding.
