Heritage Walk in Surat from April 28 to attract tourists
Surat, Apr 26 (UNI) As part of the ''Vibrant Gujarat Tourism 2006'' programme of the State Goverment, the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has planned a ''Heritage Walk'' in the city from April 28.
The Walk starts from the English cemetry at Katargam and concludes at the ancient residence of Kavi Narmad and covers some of the ancient monuments in the city and other major attractions.
The programme, aimed at attracting both domestic and foreign tourists, will be aided by trained tour guides, SMC sources said.
The Archeological Survey of India has recently restored major colonial monuments in the city which is expected to boost the ''Heritage Walk''.
