Boat rally by Kashmiri school children to spread education

Srinagar, Apr 26 (UNI) More than 800 Kashmiri school children adopted a novel way to spread the message of education by taking out a boat rally in the world famous Dal Lake here.

The rally was organised by the Directorate of School Education in connection with the ''Education For All'' week being observed across the Kashmir valley.

The students carried banners and placards with messages such as ''Education Liberates Mankind From Ignorance and Oppression, Knowledge Is Power, Education Is Essence Of Life and Education For All Is An Instrument For Achieving The Objectives Of Life.'' The boat rally passed through the interiors of the Dal Lake area to identify the school dropouts and motivate them to seek education.

The students also took out rallies in various parts of the city and the Valley.
