Six of a marriage party killed in road accident

Lucknow, Apr 25 (UNI) Six people, including three children, of a marriage party were killed and 22 injured when a van, in which they were travelling, collided with a truck in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh this evening, police sources said.

The driver of van, which was coming from Kanpur, lost control after falling asleep at the wheel and collided with an oncoming truck on the opposite track, sources added.

Four of the deceased have been identified as Begum Yaseen (50), Sana(2), Marjeen (7) and Ruksaar (2).

The injured were admitted to a local hospital, sources added.

Police have filed a case.
