SIA offers return fare of Rs 20,000 to Australia

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced special internet promotional fare to key destinations in Australia like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

By booking online to singaporeair.com, travellers can avail a return economy ticket to Australia from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Amritsar and Ahmedabad at a fare as low as Rs 20,000 per person.

The fare does not include taxes and surcharges as these are additionally charged and has a ticket validity of one month.

The offer is available for purchase from now till May 8 and is valid for travel out of India till May 31. The online promotion offers return fares to Australia from all the above gateways at a discount ranging from 28 per cent to 50 per cent off the lowest fares.

Passengers can stopover at Singapore on their return journey.

SIA, which started operations to Chennai in 1972, operates 47 weekly flights to eight destinations in India -- double daily flights to Mumbai, daily flights to Delhi and Chennai, five times weekly to Bangalore four times weekly to Kolkata and Hyderabad and, three times weekly each to Ahmedabad and Amritsar.

In addition, its subsidiary regional airline SilkAir operates five flights to Kochi and four flights to Thiruvananthapuram.

SIA, a Star Alliance member, flies to 91 destinations in 37 countries and will be the first airline in the world to fly the Airbus A380 later this year.
