Samsung launches new refrigerators

Hyderabad, Apr 25: Targeting an over 50 per cent growth both in Frost free refrigerator and microwave oven sales this year leading Home Appliance provider, Samsung India today announced the launch of ten new, technologically advanced, Frost free refrigerator models and six new, feature loaded Microwave Oven models in the Indian market.

The company announced its plans to strengthen its Home Appliance business, with product innovation, product customisation and an enhanced product line up to achieve its targeted growth.

''Product innovation, technology and design continue to be a thrust area for Samsung and that is the reason our products continue to be highly differentiated, both in terms of their features and design'' Mr Zutshi, Dy Managing Director, Samsung India told media here.

Samsung, which launched India's First frost free Low Mounted Freezer refrigerator and World's First Auto Shutter Window A.Cs in the country in the first quarter of Y2006, today launched its new range of side by side refrigirators with the World's First Twin Cooling System. With the addition of the new Frost free range, samsung now has a line up of 27 Frost free refrigerator modeles.

The company which invested more than USD 20 million on its Research and Development Centre of Noida in the National Capital regeion over the last six years, has no plans to locate another R&D centre in the South.
