Mumbai court orders seizure of Iranian ship heading for Alang

Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Apr 25 (UNI) An Iranian ship ''Ras Lique'', heading towards Alang ship-breaking yard on the Gujarat coast was stopped midway, following a Mumbai court ordering its seizure.

Although it carrried no asbestos nor any other toxic substance, according to industry sources here, it got embroiled in the court case as the earlier ship-breaker filed a case of breach of contract worth USD 720,000 against the owner of the ship, The ship was coming for beaching at plot number 28 of the Alang ship-breaking yard, owned by Kiran Ispat.
