Minor girl Maoist being sent to Juvenile Home

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) A fifteen-year-old girl caught along with another Maoist in Narsipatnam in Visakhapatnam district yesterday is being shifted to the Juvenile Home here, police sources said.

The Andhra Pradesh and Orissa police, who were jointly combing the Narsipatnam forests apprehended two Maoists and the 15-year-old tribal girl. She posed a problem to them as she was a minor.

Police also recovered a 303 rifle and some rounds of ammunition from the girl.

The minor girl was being shifted to the Juvenile Home as she could not be remanded in a regular jail, police added.
