Kar CM and DCM deny there was crisis in Coalition Government

Bangalore, Apr 25 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his deputy B S Yediyurappa today denied that the coalition government had plunged into crisis following views expressed by leaders from both the Janata Dal (S) and the Bharatiya Janata party.

Addressing newsmen here they said that lack of information had led to a confusion among the coalition partners and it would be cleared soon.

Referring to nomination of members in some districts that had led to the present confusion, Mr Kumaraswamy clarified that the decision on nomination ws taken after BJP leaders were consulted.

Both the leaders denied the recent remarks made by state BJP Chief Sadananda Gowda and the Chief Minister would cause any dent to the government.

Mr Gowda had in a letter to Mr Kumaraswamy alleged that he had violated the coalition dharma by nominating some people without consulting BJP. In reply Mr Kumaaraswamy said that he was not at the mercy of BJP and was ready to step down and face Assembly elections.

Replying to queries Mr Kumaraswamy said the meeting of the coordination committee would be convened soon after Mr Yediyurappa returned from his visit to Germany during the week.

Mr Yediyurappa denied there was any crisis following the development and said even if the god were to tell him in dream that Mr Kumaraswamy had betrayed him he would not believe. " We will set right any differences and concentrate on the state's development," he added.
