Book analysing Cong journey under Sonia released

Chandigarh, Apr 25: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has released a book, ''Triumph of Will'', describing the journey of the Indian Congress party under the leadership of Ms Sonia Gandhi, at a function here.

Speaking on the occasion, Capt Singh said the book, authored by Mr Yusuf Ansari, was an interesting account of the political and historical analysis of the Congress party from 1991 onwards vis-a-vis the emergence of AIIC President Sonia Gandhi as a dynamic leader under whose stewardship Congress recaptured the power on the national scene.

The book, released last night, also gives a detailed political analysis of an era of economic transformation, liberalisation and globalisation thereby making Indian economy a dynamic one.

The Chief Minister said he had gone through the book and congratulated Mr Ansari for its lucid content and style.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Mr Ansari said that it was a realistic work presented in a humble manner.
