17-yr-old girl jumps off third floor of school building; survives

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl attempted suicide in her South Delhi school here, police said tonight.

Police said Dimpy Mitra jumped from the third floor of Father Angel school in the Gulmohar park area during school hours.

However, she survived the fall and was immediately rushed to hospital, where she is admitted at present.

She was ''very upset'' becaue her teacher had said something to her and had scolded her, police said.

Further investigations are on.
