Maulabi dismissed for disclosing Talaq to the media

Kendrapada(Orissa), Apr 24 (UNI) Maulbi of Tarito masque Sanawala Kadri under Kisannagar police station, 65 km from here, was dismissed by the minority community members of the village for giving interview to the journalists on a talaq issue.

The Maulana also allegedly narrated the talaq of a couple of the village before the media leading to hue and cry in the area.

According to police, a Palli Sabha meeting was called on December 30 last in the Tarito village for taking initiatives on various developmental programmes in the village.

In that meeting one Biki Biwi spouse of Amman Ulla khan did not cast vote in favour of her husband group and instead supported the group with whom her brother was associated.

This irked Amman Ulla Khan who pronounced talaq thrice before his wife. Later the brother-in-law assaulted him for giving talaq to his sister. The wife also brought the matter before the local police and lodged an FIR against her spouse.

The husband also lodged an FIR with the local police station against his brother-in-law for assaulting him.The Police conducted investigation from both side and later forwarded both the accused.

The minority community members annoyed with the Maulabi Sanawala Kadri,a resident of Pipili area for disclosing the episode to the scribes.

The community members recently orgainsed a meeting in the village and decided to dismiss the maulabi from the masque for going to the press on community affairs.
